The Little Engine that could!  This antique train is a fully rebuilt gas-powered Plymouth Locomotive first put into service in 1964 and chugs along pulling a full load of passengers. Please note, our steam train is undergoing extensive boiler repairs and is not running at this time.

Join us for special events on Father's Day Weekend and July 4th Weekend

We may cancel due to weather or maintenance so check the website or call first before you leave for Jefferson.

Ride our narrated day train for a trip along the scenic Big Cypress Bayou - see remains of historic sites from the 1800's and hear the history of Jefferson.  Or join us for our evening ghost train and ghost stories at the depot.

Be sure to come ride our Cowboy Train as the Historic Jefferson Railway Salutes "National Day of the Cowboy" on July 26 and 27.  Come see the Lonely West Traveling Gun Show, complete with cowboys and gunfights.
